Back in Tanzania after a great period in Sweden. Olof was born
healthy, I had a very interesting time working at the Swedish
National Defence College in Stockholm, and we also had the
pleasure of seeing most of Ditte's and my friends and family. |

Effect-Based Operations, Military Organization and
Professionalization. The Book was published by the National
Defence College in Sweden and is available at

Our son OLOF AXEL EGNELL was born 50 cm tall and 3265 grams
heavy. A beautiful little boy. Check out the

New term started at the University of Dar es Salaam. I am
teaching the basic course in International Relations this year. |

BERLIN MARATHON! Bad cramps already after 28 km meant a rather
useless time of 4:09:20. However, both my father and brother
also made it and the arrangement was a true festival so who can
complain? |

Opening night of "Little Shop of Horrors" at the Little Theatre
in Dar es Salaam. I am performing as "Audrey II" the man eating
plant from outer space. I have worked hard on the rock n'roll
voice for this one... |

Passed the upgrade mini viva which means that the department of
War Studies has approved my first three chapters and that I am
roughly half way through my PhD dissertation. |

Flying to Stockholm for meetings at the National Defence
College, and on the 27th flying on to London where Ditte will
meet up for vacation! |

research interviews at MoD, FCO and DFID. |

07-18/03/05 Research in Washington DC, involving interviews with
officials from the US DOD, State Department, the National War
College, as well as RAND and CSIS. Very useful two weeks. |
